SA Filmmakers works Echo through Russian Festival


ECHO FILM FESTIVAL – Russia 14-16 Dec 2017

South African Film makers are waiting with baited breath to hear of they will take away a prize as part of the Echo Film Festival.

The main aim of the festival is to present works of talented filmmakers from Brazil, India, China and RSA (Republic of South Africa) to Russian spectators in order to encourage a greater understanding the unique aspects of culture, history and traditions of BRICS countries.

“They came in Spring Carts”, a documentary produced and filmed by Clive Read of Durban, depicting the history behind the Warwick Triangle’s traders, is just one of the South African films selected.

The live screening session and award ceremony will take place in Moscow’s Cosmos Movie Theatre 14 to 16 December, 2017.
