SA INC – Ground Truth seeks clarity in Umgeni Water Catchment Area
Umgeni natural water catchment areas are vital to eThekweni. Flowing from Midmar Dam through to the Palmiet River and Umgeni River mouth natural rivers flow through a myriad of wetlands, natural riverine areas, industrial and densely areas, all of which have an impact on the health of the water that flows out to sea.
eThekwini municipality’s Climate Change scientists, DBSA and Ground Truth‘s Palmiet Enviro Champs work to clean up the Palmiet River and Umgeni catchment areas flowing through the city, and to encourage communities to protect the environment within crowded settlements to enable nature to thrive within the municipality environs.
